Big Brother Legislation On The Way
RE. The Rush Limbaugh Inquisition: Came across an interesting letter to the editor in the Naples News, by a Joe Kiernan. Check it out. "At the height of the Cold War, Radio Free Europe sustained the people of the captive nations of Eastern Europe under the yoke of the Soviets, blunting Soviet propaganda and bringing hope to those suffering Soviet imperialism. The Soviets did all they could to blunt and prevent Radio Free Europe from telling the truth. Its not much of a leap when we think of talk radio as Radio Free America. The left wants to stifle it regardless of the euphemisms they use. If it were not for Talk Radio America we would not have access to the truth. The left does not want the people to hear the truth or even contrary opinions. The lefties in congress do what all statists want to do---stifle free speach. Thats the way left is. they cannot help themselves."

O'Rook, if the righties... I'm sorry I can not use that term. It makes it sound as if they are right. If the Repugs care about free speech being stifled the why don't they support the Fairness Doctrine? It encourages and promotes diversity in communication media ownership.
ReplyDeleteInstigator you are a fool.Try thinking outside the "Bun".Its you lefties that are so much into squelching not so much just free speech, but also the First Amendment,in its entirety. What a great law, the Fairness Doctrine. It ,would stymie not only the conservatives but also any other group that would like to air their grievances on the media. Hey ,do what I say not what I do!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere you go. Calling people who do not march in lockstep with your Repug ideals a fool. How would giving equal time to peoples opinions, stymie their grievances? Wouldn't the Repugs be upset if Gov. Bobby Jindal was denied the opportunity to give his eloquent rebuttal to President Obamas impassioned address to congress?
ReplyDeletePresident Obama's "impassioned" address to congress? WOW. Double WOW. How about another line of unadulterated horse droppings. This guy is the bull-crap artist De Jour of modern politics, even makes the Clintons look like rank amateurs. What happened to no more PORK.
ReplyDeleteThe Fool is right. Obama wants to be the only person with a national platform to tell you the way it is and should be. As soon as Republicans find a way to make Rush appear not to be their leader (his low ratings among young voters and linkage to Republican leadership is gold to the libs right now), the libs will push full speed ahead with the Fairness Doctrine. The Instigator is sipping from the look-aid jug again.
ReplyDeleteWho is the fool, the advocate or me? I am begining to think there are already to many fools here already.
ReplyDeleteSubliminal Man, I had a whole jug of "look-aid" this morning, and Rush still "look"s like a bloated, egotistical, meglomaniac.
You are right on Instigator, the word has been overused. With that statement in mind,I hereby unilaterally declare a moratorium the word being used in noun form.
